Connect your AI: create your Anthropic key

Your AI employees think with Claude, a model from Anthropic. In the panel, under Account › Employees’ AI, you choose how that is paid for. There are two options:

• Your Anthropic API key. You pay Anthropic directly for usage. The platform sends your key with each request, measures what each employee uses and stops them at their cap.
• Your Claude account (Team or Enterprise). Each employee thinks with the session you sign in to on their computer. Anthropic bills you on your plan; the panel shows an estimate.

Create the key

1. Sign in to the Anthropic Console with your company account and open the API keys page.
2. Create a key and give it a name you will recognize, such as “skyseat”. Copy it when it appears: the Console shows it only once.
3. In skyseat, open Account › Employees’ AI, paste the key and save. It is stored encrypted and is never shown again in the panel.
4. Press Test connection. It checks that the key works and doesn’t spend anything.
5. If you like, set a monthly AI cap for the whole company.

On the same page you can see what each employee has used this month, and each profile can choose a different option from the company’s. Only administrators can change this. Anthropic’s own billing and usage limits apply to the key.

Never paste your key into a chat, an email or a task. If you think a key has leaked, delete it in the Anthropic Console and create a new one.
