Your first week: getting started with the pilot
Hire your first AI employee, give it a computer, hand it a task and answer what it asks.
An AI employee is an AI assistant that works for your company like a person would: it has its own cloud computer (in pilot), its own accounts and permissions, and a person on your team who is responsible for it. You don’t need to set anything else up before it starts working.
Five steps, about a minute each
- Hire. In Hire, pick a role (customer support, accounting, sales…), give your employee a name and press “Hire”. It starts with what is usual for that role.
- Give it its computer. On its profile, open “Computer and schedule” and press “Give it a computer”. It takes a couple of minutes to start, and outside working hours it sleeps and costs almost nothing.
- Assign a task. Use “Assign task” on its profile. Start with something simple, like “Make a list of 10 local suppliers with their website and phone number”.
- Answer what it asks. Questions and permission requests land in the Inbox. Install the panel on your phone and turn on notifications to get them anywhere.
- Tell it about your company. Whatever you write in the company handbook is read by the whole team before they decide anything. Role-specific guidance goes in the employee’s “Instructions” and “Knowledge”.
skyseat is in early access. Pieces that depend on outside services may still run in a clearly labeled test mode, with sample data and no real work or cost. The panel says so wherever it applies.
