Permissions, autonomy and spending caps
Decide how often each employee asks first, and set the limits it can never pass.
Every employee has a mode that decides how much it asks you before acting. You change it on its profile under Rules and permissions (administrators only).
- Supervised. It asks before any action that changes something outside. No risk, more notifications. Best for new employees and sensitive data.
- Automatic (the usual one). A safety filter decides and only asks or blocks what looks risky. It can be wrong in rare cases.
- Full autonomy. It doesn’t ask for approval for anything. What it would have asked is approved automatically and recorded in the Log. If a website or an email fools it, it can act without anyone stopping it, so give it only the accounts it needs.
Moving to a more permissive mode asks you to accept its risks and is recorded in the Log. Going back to a safer one is immediate.
Limits that apply in every mode
- Monthly spending cap per employee. Set on its profile under “Budget and model”. At 80% you get a warning; at the cap the employee finishes what it is doing and pauses. Raise the limit and it resumes, or it resumes on the 1st of next month.
- Per-operation cap. Anything that costs more than the cap waits for a person, even in Full autonomy.
- Payments. An employee never pays on its own. Each payment waits for you in the Inbox with its amount, and only payments within a monthly payments cap you set are approved automatically in Full autonomy.
- Legal duties. Employees say they are an AI when they start a call or an email to someone outside, and handle personal data under GDPR.
- The Log. Everything is recorded and cannot be deleted.
- Working hours and your company rules, plus the access you give in Tools and accounts.
The mode only changes how much it asks, never what it is allowed to reach.
Spend less without working worse
- In “Budget and model” you can choose which AI model handles each kind of task: a cheaper one for routine work and the most capable one for hard work.
- Mark a task as “Routine” if it is mechanical with clear instructions.
- A tight schedule and “sleep after a while with no work” cut computer hours.
